Weekend homework: Math p. 349 L. 15 only. Begin studying for upcoming History and Science Tests over chapters 1 and 2. History Test is Tuesday and the Science Test is Wednesday.     

Remember: 

There is no school on Thursday and Friday. This is a great time to work on literature fair projects! 

There will not be a verse quiz this week.

Spelling words for the week are: ungracious, unreliable, collectible, flexible, adaptable, nondescript, boastful, dictation, and indicate. There is no vocab. this week. There is no trial test; only a real test on Wednesday. 

Monday

Homework: Study for History Test 1. 

                    Math page 349 L. 16

                    Copy spelling words 3 times. We are only doing 9 words this week from lists 1-3. There is not trial test. We will only take a real test on Wednesday. There is no vocabulary. 

Tuesday History Test

Homework: Language p. 247 L. 17 

                    Finish Science pp 61-63 if they are not done in class, and study for tomrrow's test.

Wednesday  Spelling and Science Tests

Homework over the long weekend: 

Work on literature fair project.

I will be assigning some reading in science as well so that we do not get behind.

UPDATED August 31-September 4

Great job this week! 5th grade can be an adjustment, and everyone is doing great! Keep on trying your best!   Here are a few things to keep in mind as we enter September:  No school on Sept. 7, 17, and 18. Progress reports go home on the 22nd.  Picture day has been rescheduled for September 24th.  Begin reading your Literature Fair book. I will help everyone choose one next week. Keep in mind, we have study hall EVERY DAY at school, so they should come home with homework at least begun.  Continue to view the blog after 4 every Friday and throughout the week. Welcome to 5th Grade! 5th Grade Supply list: KJV Bible  2 packages loose-leaf paper 3 folders with pockets 3 spiral notebooks or a 3 subject notebook to start off the year.  No. 2 pencils 1 package Dry-erase markers A ruler with inches and centimeters A clear protractor A pencil box, NO metal, please Wired Earbuds (optional) 2 boxes of tissues 2 bags of individually wrapped candy 2 packs of square Post-it notes 1 container clorox wipes They will need a large tri-fold poster board for the Literature Fair, but it does not need to be sent to school.  Water bottles may not be glass and must have a screw top lid.
