Have a great long weekend!   Remember :   There is no school on Monday. :)  I send papers home as soon as they are graded, but you can always check Renweb.  Please check the blog often, and I suggest having notifications on for Dojo . UPDATED August 31-September 4

Great job this week! 5th grade can be an adjustment, and everyone is doing great! Keep on trying your best!   Here are a few things to keep in mind as we enter September:  No school on Sept. 7, 17, and 18. Progress reports go home on the 22nd.  Picture day has been rescheduled for September 24th.  Begin reading your Literature Fair book. I will help everyone choose one next week. Keep in mind, we have study hall EVERY DAY at school, so they should come home with homework at least begun.  Continue to view the blog after 4 every Friday and throughout the week. ALSO, I will post changes on DOJO; please connect if you have not already.  This week's Homework/Test/Qui z  schedule: Monday Homework: Copy Spelling list 1-12 twice and the first 4 vocabulary words only once. Aug. 24-28

  Our first 2 days were great! Here is what next week looks like. Monday : Homework: Copy Spelling words 1-12 only twice. Copy vocabulary words with definition numbers 23, 24, 26, 28, and 29 only. Each week, I will post the numbers of our spelling list as we do not test over all of them.  Tuesday : Homework: History Page 17.  Wednesday : History Quiz over sections 1.1-1.3 Thursday : Trial Spelling Test          Homework: Copy missed spelling words 5 times each. Study for test.                                   Do History page 18.  Friday : Homework: Math pages 346 Lesson 6 only.  Bible Verse Quiz Phil. 2:4-5 Picture day has been moved to Thursday, September 24th. Welcome to 5th Grade! 5th Grade Supply list: KJV Bible  2 packages loose-leaf paper 3 folders with pockets 3 spiral notebooks or a 3 subject notebook to start off the year.  No. 2 pencils 1 package Dry-erase markers A ruler with inches and centimeters A clear protractor A pencil box, NO metal, please Wired Earbuds (optional) 2 boxes of tissues 2 bags of individually wrapped candy 2 packs of square Post-it notes 1 container clorox wipes They will need a large tri-fold poster board for the Literature Fair, but it does not need to be sent to school.  Water bottles may not be glass and must have a screw top lid. Fidgit item guidelines: They cannot roll or make noise. They must fit in the palm of your hand. They must be an item actually made to help a student stay focused; not just a toy.
