Fundraiser Claendars

 Fundraising Calendars are due back into school tomorrow!  Thank you so much for your help!

Calendar Fundraiser Due Wednesday

 Reminder: The calander fundraiser is due tomorrow, Wednesday, April 1.  $200= Icecream party $496= Fun Day and Icecream party If everyone in the class at least participates, I have a treat for the class! 

Easter Egg Hunt and Reminder

 The students will be giving a 2-3 minute spech on Thrusday which they need to begin planning tonight. They can hold notecards or use iPad app while giving the speech.  Please send a dozen filled eggs on Thursday. We will have pizza for lunch. :)  
For Monday, study for History Quiz 23 and finish final copies of research reports.  The History quiz is over pages 358-371 and page 374, specifically these terms: King Tut P. 363, Anwar el-Sudat p. 371, Menes P. 365, Algeria P. 374, Berbers p. 360, Mummies p. 363, and the Scramble for Africa on page 369  Also know the following capitals: Rabat, Morocco   Khartoum, Sudan     Tipoli, Libya         Cairo, Egypt Next Week:  We will have an Easter party on Thursday after recess. Please send a snack and a drink. (Lunch will be normal.) Friday begins our spring break, so we only have 4 days this week. There will be a trial spelling test on Wednesday and regular test on Thursday.  Homework :  Monday : Math page 400 Lesson 131.                     Copy spelling list 27 words 3, 5, 6, 9, 10, 11, 15, 18, 19, 22, 23, 23 TWICE and vocabulary     ...

Pizza Party Tomorrow!

We will be having a pizza party tomorrow for lunch! I did not ask the kids to bring money, but you are welcome to donate to the party if you would like. I will have drinks, but they can bring a drink if they would like.  

Monday Homework

Rough Draft is due Wednesday. Complete AIN 12 and read pages 140-150 in Wonders Within. Be prepared for a quiz.  Copy spelling list 26 twice. 1-8, 11-16, 22-23. Copy vocabulary once. All vocab except number 30. Study for Quiz over Chapter 16 in History. Study guide for ch. 16 is due tomorrow  What goes into a study guide? List all the dark print words. They do not have to list the definitions, just the words. Answer each CCs at the end of each section as well as the Chaper checkup. We do them in class, but often the students need more time, so it may become homework.

March 23-27

Weekend homework: Math page 231-232.  Test Monday                                              Study for History Quiz 24 over chapter 17 ON TUESDAY. Keep filling the fundraisor calander due the first of April. We will celebrate Pi day on Tuesday. If you bring $3.14 you can throw a pie at Mr. Bice or Mrs. O'Dell. :) Monday - Math Test and Language quiz.  Homework : Revise rough draft. Final Copy is due Friday.                          Copy spelling words twice. Copy vocabulary once.                          Complete History study guide for section 17.1. Read pages 361-362. Note: Thursday HOMEWORK CHANGES IN MATH and RESEARCH PAPER

Over the weekend: Study for the History test on Monday over chapters 11-15 and the Science Quiz over sections 12.1-12.4.  There is a Science Test on Tuesday over chapters 10-12.  Monday :  History Test Homework: Math Pages 394-395 Lesson 123 only.                         Copy spelling list twice. List 24 numbers 1-14 and the words where and waited. We will do vocabulary numbers 26, 28, 31, 34, and 35 Tuesday : Science Test Homework: Spelling- Write one sentence for each vocabulary word.                          Finish rough draft of research report. We will start in class.  This essay should consist of 5                          paragraphs. It can be typed or handwritten.  Thursday Homework: Math page 225-227    Read History pages 353-3...

Thursday

 The Science exam has been moved to Tuesday.  Tonight's homework Begin studying for the Science exam which will be on Tuesday. They need to spend some extra time studying Newton's Laws in Chapter 12. It is a difficult concept.  Study for the History Quiz over 15.1-15.5Be able to locate Paris, France, Rome, Italy, and Madrid, Spain on a map.  Complete Math pages 392-393 Lesson 120 only.

Do pages 341 and 342 sections 1 and 2 only. Read in Science pages 447-450 and read over study guide for the completion of the Science test tomorrow in class.  Copy spelling list once. ***Bring spelling list to class.*** Complete notecards. 25 cards are to be completed by tomorrow. There will be 10 minutes in class tomorrow to finish them, and we will move on. They should have at least 17 complete at this point.  Math- Complete page 216.

Friday, March 6

Weekend homework: Math page 206 Please remember a total of 25 notecards will be due on Tuesday. There is no school on Monday, but there is a Zoom meeting students need to join at 12:45.  In a separate blog, I will post the work they can be working on and what they need to bring to the meeting. Please make every effort to allow them to participate. Thank you! The Science Exam will be changed to Thursday   Tuesday due not having traditional school on Monday. Then we will be finished with Science and begin Health!  Also, remember that Wednesday will be a 2 hour early out.  We will be on Spelling list 24. Our words this week will be words 1-8 and the following: although, appear, around, always, about, across, between, beneath, believe, bought, and business.

Tuesday-Homework and Notecard example

Here is a picture of what a notecard could look like. The required information for a notecard is the website, the date, and the author if the website lists one.  Then, they need to fill it with as much information from that website as they can.  They should have a total of 14 notecards by tomorrow.  Most everyone needs to do 3 notecards tonight. They are required to have at least 3 sources to find information. They are not permitted to use wikipedia.  Tonight's homework is to complete 3 notecards and begin studying for the History and Science Tests coming up. They have study guides for these, and should use their books to study as well. REMINDER, we are doing spelling list 23 marked words only.  .
