Tomorrow is the first day of October! 🍂🍁 Just a friendly reminder that we don’t celebrate Halloween at NLCA. If your child has jack-o’-lanterns, ghosts, or other Halloween-themed designs on their clothing, please save those for days when we aren’t in school. 😊 Thank you for helping us keep our school environment consistent with our guidelines!

Weekend of the 25th: Math P. 353 L. 23 and Language pp 249-250 L. 24 Monday Spelling List 5 words 1-12, copy 2 times each; copy ALL vocabulary once.  Science assignment will be announced after science class on Monday.  Tuesday  Math P. 253 L. 25 History Pages 80-81 Study for Science Quiz 5 over sections 3.4-3.6, look specifically at pages 100-102 at fossil fuels and alternative energy sources. THE QUIZ IS THURSDAY. Thursday Spelling Trial Test Science Quiz 5.  Homework: Study for verse quiz over Phil. 4:4 Copy missed spelling words 5 tims. History page 82. Friday Finish reading Message of the Mountain.

Picture Day is Thursday the 24th. There is no need to send money or order forms; orders will be placed when proofs come in.  Parent-Teacher conferences are on the 24th as well. I would love to meet with each of you! Call Annie to schedule.  Grandparents' Day is Oct. 9th. Let me know if your child will bring more than one guest so I can plan our gifts for them.  I will post the regular Friday blog on Friday.  Over the long weekend, please read in Science book pp 64-69 and work on literature fair projects.  We will be on List 4 words 1-12 next week. We will do the first 4 vocabularly words. 

Weekend homework: Math p. 349 L. 15 only. Begin studying for upcoming History and Science Tests over chapters 1 and 2. History Test is Tuesday and the Science Test is Wednesday.       Remember :  There is no school on Thursday and Friday. This is a great time to work on literature fair projects!  There will not be a verse quiz this week. Spelling words for the week are: ungracious, unreliable, collectible, flexible, adaptable, nondescript, boastful, dictation, and indicate. There is no vocab. this week.  There will not be a Science Quiz tomorrow. Students should read pages 39-47. the Quiz is rescheduled to Monday.
