Zoom info and work

Do pages 341 and 342 sections 1 and 2 only. Read in Science pages 447-450 and read over study guide for the completion of the Science test tomorrow in class.  Copy spelling list once. ***Bring spelling list to class.*** Complete notecards. 25 cards are to be completed by tomorrow. There will be 10 minutes in class tomorrow to finish them, and we will move on. They should have at least 17 complete at this point.  Math- Complete page 216.

Friday, March 6

Weekend homework: Math page 206 Please remember a total of 25 notecards will be due on Tuesday. There is no school on Monday, but there is a Zoom meeting students need to join at 12:45.  In a separate blog, I will post the work they can be working on and what they need to bring to the meeting. Please make every effort to allow them to participate. Thank you! The Science Exam will be changed to Thursday due not having traditional school on Monday. Then we will be finished with Science and begin Health!  Also, remember that Wednesday will be a 2 hour early out.  We will be on Spelling list 24. Our words this week will be words 1-8 and the following: although, appear, around, always, about, across, between, beneath, believe, bought, and business.

Tuesday-Homework and Notecard example

Here is a picture of what a notecard could look like. The required information for a notecard is the website, the date, and the author if the website lists one.  Then, they need to fill it with as much information from that website as they can.  They should have a total of 14 notecards by tomorrow.  Most everyone needs to do 3 notecards tonight. They are required to have at least 3 sources to find information. They are not permitted to use wikipedia.  Tonight's homework is to complete 3 notecards and begin studying for the History and Science Tests coming up. They have study guides for these, and should use their books to study as well. REMINDER, we are doing spelling list 23 marked words only.  . 

March 1-6

The calendar fundraiser went home today. I am offering a classroom movie and treat if all the students at least fill in one day! This is an important fundraiser for our school, so I hope we can help make it great!  We will resume spelling list 23 this week studying the same words listed last week continuing to skip the vocabulary for now.  Please bring a pack of large notecards on Monday for our research report.  Also, this is Dr. Seuss week, dressing up optional and a theme schedule was sent home today.  On Monday, we have a quiz in History over sections 13.1-13.3 and 14.1-14.2. The test is Thursday over chapters 12-14, a full study guide will come home Monday. Homework: Math Page 185 Sections 4-8 only. History- Read pages 304-306. Be prepared to answer the questions. Remember, there is no spellign list this week. We will pick up on list 23 next week.

2/23-2/27

Sorry for the delayed blog! This week's spelling list will be the following words on list 23: 1, 2, 14, 15, 16, 18, 19, 20, 23, and 3 additional words: terrible, beautiful, and character. (12 total). There will be no vocabulary this week again as we are doing and IXL vocabulary unit that will not require a test. Things to study: We will complete chapter 11 in Science. The test will be next week, watch for the study guide to come home. We will complete chapter 13 in History. Chapter 13 has one quiz we will take at the end of the week. The test in History will be next week as well over chapters 12-14 since chapters 13 and 14 are short. In Language, we will be beginning a research report. The students need a pack of large notecards and a folder for the material if they do not already have one here at school. We will be focusing on direct quotations and complements this week with review of adjectives. In math we will continue to work with decimals and intrduce geometry. I w...

The class earned a homework pass that is good for one assignment. Copy missed words 5 times each. Do language worksheet page 65. Do History pages 285-286.
